My son asked me recently…
“Dad, what do you believe in?” My
first response was – you two. He then
continued, and said, “Besides us (glancing at his little brother)?
My belief is that every man, woman and child deserves a
chance – a fighting, equal and real chance on a still very healthy and
beautiful planet as many of us did decades, centuries, and millennia ago to
live life with as much joy as possible and with as little pain as possible. I didn’t want to get too deep, so I got the
conversation moving towards – what do you guys want for lunch. And, that was
that.
The reason I have felt this way with far more fervor in the
past few years is because of my observations of human actions upon each other,
its inhabitants and upon our planet. It’s
gotten horrifically worse and compounding by the second. Now, my mind scrambles – kind of like Richard
Drifus in the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind, but I’m not yet making
mud statues of Devils Mountain in my living room; I am simply using my vocal
cords with the help of a podcast and social media.
Yah-see, deep down inside my soul, my being or my mana
(internal Hawaiian power) I truly believe that we all must gather as much
energy in this very crucial time of our existence and take real action to
change our direction. Why am I so
passionate about my belief and my urgent need to convey my message? Isn’t it obvious… We are at that precipice or that tipping point
in our species history to obtain an actual future. Either we make dramatic changes in our
direction to continue on, or we continue on as we have and basically destroy
ourselves as we are doing now. It’s pretty
simple, but many aren’t getting it, and are in denial of the harsh reality that
we are destroying our planet and ourselves in the process and vice versa.
So, if you feel it to, and you want to share – please join
me on my podcast, chat with me, email me, or let me know that you feel it as
well, and then… let us find solutions – real solutions that are viable and workable
that can be implemented immediately. I or we will do our best to get those
ideas and solutions to those that can better implement them and have others do
the same as a growing network of those that actually care about ALL OF IT.
If you have time, listen to my podcasts and share them with
others if you agree, or engage with me if you believe there is a better
way.
Enjoy!
